Sobowo's First Factory Since 2014
Sobowo traces its roots back to a trading company during the surge of electric bicycles. However, we observed a lack of consistency in both technology and quality, with most designs being generic and lacking specialization. Especially in the realm of fat-tire electric bicycles, there were few manufacturers, and their expertise fell short. Many factories operated without their own engineers. After repeated disappointment with the quality of electric fat-tire bicycles produced by our partner factories, Sobowo's founder, Michael, and his wife, Jojo, made the bold decision to establish their own factory, ensuring strict quality control and pursuing original designs.
In 2014, we founded our own factory, focusing on the independent design and production of fat-tire electric bicycles. At that time, fat-tire bikes were not yet in vogue, and most factories did not manufacture them. However, Michael firmly believed in the immense market potential of fat-tire bicycles. While other factories blindly followed the trend, producing standardized models, Michael took a resolute step by investing significant funds in research, design, and technical engineering departments. He prioritized our patented designs and employed a team of skilled mechanical and electric engineers to ensure exceptional quality and performance. The subsequent success validated our unwavering commitment. Electric fat-tire bikes have become a popular trend, and they can now be seen everywhere.
